My tip for taking photos in the show.

Photos in the snow always come out looking dark, and the snow looks gray. That’s because the camera views the snow as BRIGHT scene rather than WHITE scene. Since the camera sees brightness everywhere, it exposes accordingly and all the photos come out dark with gray looking snow. Simple solution. Set a custom white balance from the snow… now your camera knows the snow is the color white rather than simply being bright. Don’t simply increase the EV… you have no control over that. A custom white balance will calibrate your camera for the scene; increasing the EV will only make the wrong photo brighter. Make sure the snow is white when you set the custom WB also. Yellow snow (although tastes great) won’t work.
